Hey guys!

I wanted to share this cool outfit I shot with my friend Andrea Céspede (Eastcoastav), recently in Miami. So it might feel like crop tops have always been a trend meant for women only. However I recently found out that this style has been a thing since the 70’s! The cropped shirt was originally created by men for men and was part of men’s fashion for years before women began wearing them. I did some research and found out that it started in the early 70s with weight lifters cutting off the bottom part of their shirts to go around the gym dress codes that didn’t allow shirtless men. Not only was it really common for athletic guys to have crop tops but crop tops had also become common in disco dance clubs and in urban counter culture movements.

I really love crop tops and how they give ma a little midriff showing. I love how the oversized denim jacket (From Zara) looks with this crop top. I wore my black Topman jeans with this outfit because the ripped knee details are the same details that the denim jacket have. To top this ‘’bad ass” stud muffin look Im trying to go for I added my spiked boots from Jeffrey Campbell, The Damned.

Hope you guys have a great day!

Cheers!!
