Asos Vintage Stripe Reverse Shirt
Fashion

Spring  is fast approaching so I felt like busting out a short sleeve shirt.  I tend to check all the new merchandise of all my favourite sites quite often and I saw this Reclaimed vintage stripe reverse shirt over on Asos and loved it!  I’m thinking of wearing it when I go on vacation, for nights out or sunny days.  I decided to match the outfit with my white shoes to create a sporty preppy look.

As always, thank you so much for stopping by!
Cheers!

Feeling stuck ? 5 Tips on how to break free!

Photography by: Anton Photo

My outfit

Shirt:  Allsaints

Pants: Zara

Shoes:  Marco Moretti available at Galeria Shoes

I always find myself stuck. Stuck for ideas,  outfits and even for what I want to eat. When you stop and think about it, life is a game of decisions. Choice after choice after choice. Most of the time we can’t process a decision. I think we can all agree that we never know what the hell to watch on Netflix the majority of the time. Constantly browsing through movies, tv shows, food documanteries…. Do I give up my next three months of freedom and start The Game Of Thrones or do I binge-watch horror movies ? We have so much choice in our lives. Even though we are extremely fortunate to have all of these options/choices – it’s okay to not know what you want sometimes.

For me one of the most annoying kind of rut that I usually get stuck in is when it comes to content. If you also create content then you know exactly what Im talking about – blog post ideas, video ideas what to post on social media. Ideas are really hard work and they don’t come easily however easy it may appear. I’ve just come back from a small vacation where I had a bit of time to sit and think about what I want to write about, what I want to start creating again and what I love to do. I think time away and a little bit of a break is essential when you’re stuck in a rut so I’ve written 5 things to do when you yourself are stuck in a rut and hopefully they will help you like they helped me.

1- Forget About Perfection

Make mistakes. Go crazy once in a while. I can’t stress enough how important this part is. You can’t always be perfect and it’s important to acknowledge that. Tomorrow is a new day, a new beginning so don’t get stuck and make every day count and try to not make the same mistake all over again but learn from what’s happened to you in the past. You never know, the time where something isn’t perfect might be the best way you’ve ever done it. I’m not saying to do the task half-heartedly but just loosen the strings a little and have fun with it.

2-Get Inspired

This is the most important step for when you’re stuck in a rut. You need to get inspired. I don’t think most people understand how important this is for their day to day living. I get inspired by anything and everything, blogs, people, photography clothing, history, architecture, spaces…  Space is the one that helps me the most, if I’m in a space that doesn’t inspire me – not much will happen. I’ve always said this from time to time,  but surround yourself with likeminded people. Decorate your apartment or bedroom to be just how you want it or go outside and go to a place that you love to be in. Your mind works a lot better when it doesn’t have any distractions and you can fully concentrate on the task at hand.

img_0505

3-Go Away

Sometimes we need to let situations be and come back to them with a fresh pair of eyes. Turn off your phone, close your laptop fora while, take a walk, go on a road trip. Escape what you’re stuck on and whilst your away the idea might creep slowly into your mind. Whenever you’re stuck in a rut, if you’re focusing or overthinking something that just isn’t there, like a blog post for example – just don’t think about it. It will come to you eventually I promise.

img_0496

4-Upgrade yourself

Improve yourself, even if its researching a topic, learning something new, getting a new haircut, getting a tan, going to a restaurant you’ve never been to before  just do anything that makes you feel better or better said like a more upgraded version of yourself. I feel so much more energised once I’ve had a fresh haircut for example. Even silly little things like trying new body lotions  or a new undies boost you up a bit! lol

img_2851

5-Focus on the Little Things

Impossible things can be made possible, you just have to break them down into little pieces. Take a big task and divide into sections, what should go first? what can wait until the end? start small and keep going, eventually the big task will be complete and it will have flown by. You’ll be surprised at what you can achieve with this simple step.

Hey guys! Hope you’re doing good! I’ve been looking forward to shooting this grey Seven 7 Denim grey shirt sweatshirt ever since I got it in Greece this past summer! Seven 7 Denim is a clothing brand that originated in Thessaloniki, Greece. I love how that for most of their outfits they transform raw denim into a unique garment, sometimes in a discreet matter and sometimes more extravagant.

I’m also obsessed with my Top Shop boots. They are not only one of the most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn but they also make you a few inches taller. I also love how they have a small wrap around the top with a beautiful buckle that allows you to make the boots tighter tighter. I paired them with my ripped knee skinny jeans(as always) also from Top Shop.

I always dress for comfort. I don’t necessarily think about it when I’m shopping or getting dressed it just sort of happens naturally. Oversized clothing just appeals to me so much, when something is too tight or constricting in some way I don’t feel comfortable in myself and I think that’s really apparent when looking at someone and how they’re dressed. Comfort is Key.

What Im wearing:

Hat: Zara

Sunglasses: Thom Browneny

Oversized Tee: Asos

Pants: Top Shop

Shoes: All Saints

Hey guys!

I hope you are all doing well. I wanted to share with you this perfect outfit for fall that my friend Gabriela Alarcón shot in NYC a while ago.

I ordered the military green tee from ASOS and the black cropped jeans from Top Shop a few weeks ago and couldn’t wait to wear them together – I think the cropped jeans and the oversized tee go really well together, I’ve been looking for a pair of ripped up jeans like this for awhile now. I really like how simply shredded they are.

Much like my previous black oversized tee that I got from ASOS that you can see in this outfit post here– I noticed this top was a similar colour, giving off major yeezy vibes again with the 3/4 length sleeves so I kind of had to get it.  Im also obsessed with how this tee has 2 layers and its short in the front and really long in the back. It makes me feel like Im some sort of magical wizard thats going to rule the world lol

I paired them with my Grey All Saints platform boots which have always been one of my favourite shoes, I love getting a bit of extra height from a chunky sole – definitely check them out because they drop a new design every season, keeping everyone on their toes (no pun intended haha).

What I’m wearing:

Hat:  Zara

Black Oversized Cape With Deep V-neck :  ASOS

Black Print Cigarette Jeans:  AllSaints

Azrou Sandals: AllSaints

Jewelry bolo tie: Valija Gitana

Hey Guys, I hope you’re all good!

Well Im not going to lie, the majority of my wardrobe is black clothing(like my soul). I constantly get called out on how Im always wearing black and that I should try to wear colour but the thing people don’t understand is that It’s not even a thought process for me. I don’t think I’m going to only wear black it’s just an unconscious decision, like a natural reaction. For me wearing all black is also simple because most of your wardrobe matches. You can mix and match anything, your tops go with all your jeans, all of your jackets go with every outfit, it’s all so simple.

In this outfit I’m wearing all black with my jeans and sandals from AllSaints and an oversized black cape from ASOS. I’ve been looking forward to shooting this oversized black tee ever since I ordered it two weeks ago. It’d been on my saved items for awhile and I’m over the moon with it. Giving off major Yeezy / Yedi vibes the oversized black tee, it looks and feels great. As for jewelry, since the oversized cape has a deep in v-neck, I wanted to find something delicate that would go with the structure of the outfit. Therefore, I paired it with a Valija Gitana jewelry bolo tie.

I shot this outfit at the abandoned, so called ‘’haunted’’ ‘’Hotel Intercontinental ‘’ in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I don’t really think this spot is haunted because my grandmother lives right next to it and I grew up playing hide & seek at the hotel with my siblings and unfortunately I never stumbled with anything paranormal. Even though the hotel is broken down, I still think its extremely beautiful and perfect for photography. The architecture is incredible for photography and a lot of the graffiti is extremely dope.

Cheers,

Francisco X. Alustiza xx

As an unexpected cold front rolled into old San Juan earlier last week, I decided, naturally, to break out my  fall staples. I also wanted to use this as a chance to show you my last year’s pieces for Fall/Winter.

However, before you read any further I want to clarify, that by cold front I mean 5-10 degrees cooler than the usual weather because it still feels like we’re walking through the Sahara desert.

Since it’s extremely rare for it to be cold in Puerto Rico, I quickly turned to my classic, dark navy LF trench coat, paired with my slim-fit All Saints jeans and a tank top. To add a boho chic look I wore my All Saints Azrou sandals and a low brimmed black cap from Urban Outfitters to complete the look.
When in doubt, always pair  fitted clothing with looser pieces, it gives every look that necessary boho flare.

Cheers,

Francisco X. Alustiza xx

Hey Guys! Here you can follow and check my daily looks and collaborations I’ll be doing with different brands. Here’s to my first entry (post) in the ‘’Fashion’’ category. Here’s an outfit I shot a while ago in the Perez Art Museum in Miami.

A few months ago, while exploring in Miami with Gabriela Alarcón, we made a spur of the moment decision to visit the Perez Art Museum. For those who don’t know of the museum, it was just recently built in the downtown Miami area. It’s located right by the bay with beautiful hanging concrete gardens and exceptional exhibitions.

My outfit of choice was a grey cotton blend button down by Allsaints. If you don’t know me, you should take note that I’m super hyperactive and always on the go. Therefore, this light lose fitting silhouette, kept me comfortable in the Miami humidity. I paired my outfit with Allsaints Cigarette pants and accessorized with a bow tie from Bows-N-Ties  that kept me looking dapper.
